Discord Report Abuse Changes
Discord reports will now be handled via Sapphire. You can report people using the slash report command you will then insert the message link and select a reason from the dropdown, from there it will go into our abuse reports channel where a staff member can review it and see what happen.
Please try and put a message link that gives context to the situation as a whole, don't just put someone's username as that doesn't tell us anything and will likely be rejected. You will now be notified when your report against someone has been accepted or denied but you will not be notified of the actions taken for privacy and security reasons.
Also keep in mind that we have technology in place that automatically scans, blocks and reports message to us that are believed to violate the rules. But we also count on our community members to know our rules and report content that they believe violates them. We also have technology that scans images and reports possible NSFW images to us.
Additionally, the person you reported won't know that you reported them, it does not come up in chat. So for those of you in fear of being hated on for reporting someone inside the discord, don't worry.
In conclusion if you see something, say something. We do our best to act on reports given to us by community members and our technology if it breaks our rules. Safety and community trust is paramount.
